Each summer Sally would visit the UK and bring with her the finest Vermont maple syrups to distribute to her family and friends. Now as children of the 80’s, we would wait each year to be treated to the delicious sweet sap directly brought from the USA.

In the 1980’s maple syrup was not on the supermarket shelves in the UK. It was a marvel to anyone who tasted it like our friends. From the age of 5 myself and my sister waited eagerly for the sweet bounty to arrive each year, we could not get enough of it. Sally would also bring these small maple sugar candies which we simply loved.

Today in the UK you can find Canadian maple syrup in every supermarket, but there is simply no American maple syrup to be found anywhere. Therefore I am on a mission to bring the finest syrups I tasted from my childhood to the shores of the UK and of course I will start in Vermont  This site will detail my journey and there will be a shop that follows where I aim to sell syrup and maple candies sourced from the USA.
